The Wipline 8000 float construction follows Wipaire's strict guidlines with special attention to detail. Each hull component is etched, alodined and epoxy primed before assembly, assuring that there is no exposure to bare metal. The largest baggage hatch in the business is standard in both floats. A fluted bottom skin with sister keels - or speed rails - assures excellent performance in a wide range of water conditions. The flat top deck area promotes crew and passenger safety.

All Wipline floats are FAA certified and TSO approved, and meet Federal CAR-3.372 buoyancy regulations for flooded compartments. The compact gear selector handle, with the Wipline exculsive Aural Landing Gear Advisory System, is standard equipment. Emergency back-up pump/selector assembly is compact, easy to operate and standard equipment on amphibious floats.

The rugged dual main gear assembly is well suited for paved or grass strips.

In over 40 years of service the Wipline nose gear has proven to be the best in the business. The nose gear feature a full-caster nose wheel mounted on a composite nose spring, which retracts into the float nose to provide a dock bumper.

The Wipline 8000 float was designed using the latest C.A.D (Computer Aided Design) technology, making replacement parts a perfect fit. For example, the main keel has a removable wear strip for ease of maintenence or repair.

With this technology Wipaire was able to build the 8000 float to be light and still north-country rugged.
